Шаблоны для WordPress: защита авторских прав или Как заставить оставить внешнюю ссылку

Недавно копался в цаблонах для wordpress’a (искал шаблоны с определенной организацией сайдбара), и наткнулся на тот, который собственно Вы перед собой и видите =) Шаблон мне очень понравился, сделан качественно, на совесть, к тому же — совершенно бесплатен! Разумеется, я сразу захапал шаблон себе и стал прикручивать к своему «блогу». И тут, совершенно внезапно я столкнулся…. с копирайтом.

Для начала я бы хотел внести ясность. Я не имею ничего против авторских прав. Более того, я считаю что чуваки, которые делают такие классные шаблоны и позволяют юзать их продукт бесплатно — достойны  всяческого уважения. Я просто слегка шокирован их агрессивностью в нелегком деле защиты своего творения.

Итак, к теме. Когда мы качаем шаблон для сайта из сети — бывает 4 источника:

• Официальный сайт разработчика шаблона, бесплатный шаблон
• Официальный сайт разработчика, платный шаблон
• Неофициальный сайт, эдакий варезник, распространяющий честно спизженные шаблоны задарма. Без подвохов.
• Неофициальный сайт, распространяющий слегка модифицированные чужие шаблоны нахаляву

Давайте сперва рассмотрим последний пункт.

Тип четвертый: крадем и извлекаем профит

Не так давно я уже писал о том, что мне попался шаблон от подобных товарищей. В шаблон были вшиты закодированные ссылки на пару говносайтов про политику и какую-то прочую лабуду.
 
Напоминаю, такие штуки решаются выпиливанием куска кода из шаблона, код примерно такой:

Я уже писал об этом, но хочу еще раз подчеркнуть, что не стоит пользоваться шаблонами, скачанными с wpland.ru, так как там как раз и живут господа «четвертого типа», т.е. присваивающие себе чужие продукты и нагло пытающиеся поиметь с этого профит.
 

Тип третий: даешь свободное распространение продуктов интеллектуального труда!

Проекты такого типа точно так же, как и сайты четвертого типа тырят и раздают контент, но делают это бескорыстно (доходы от Google AdSense и прочего не будем принимать в расчет).
 

Часто на таких сайтах можно найти не сворованные шаблоны, а демо-версии платных шаблонов с предложением купить шаблон у авторов.
 
Сайты третьего типа — хорошие годные. Качая оттуда шаблон — можно не сомневаться в том, что вы ничего не «подцепите» вместе с шаблоном.
 

Тип второй: купите мой шаблон!

Это уже чистый бизнес, автор вложил труд в создание шаблона и продает его.
 
Да, цена порой дико завышена, но все же согласитесь, что рисовать и верстать шаблон — дело нелегкое, и бедным дизайнерам-верстальщикам тоже нужно что-то кушать.
 
Никаких подвохов быть не может — Вы отдали свои кровные за продукт, и можете делать с ним все, что Вашей душе угодно.
 
Иногда на сайтах разработчиков бывают такие приколы:

• Убираем копирайт из подвала (стоит услуга 5-25$ в зависимости от наглости разработчика)
• Продаем тему с потрохами (Вы сразу выкупаете тему «полностью», т.е. ее убирают из продажи. Такая услуга стоит бешеных денег).

Тип первый: Я нарисовал — Вы юзаете

Это самый замечательный тип сайтов, распространяющих шаблоны для WordPress. Официальный сайт, бесплатный шаблон, никаких вирусов и прочей фигни.
 
Вас просят только оставить копирайт (и ссылку на автора), однако конечно же так никто никогда не делает. Первым делом выпиливаются ссылки на авторов и на движок.
 
Так было до недавнего времени.
 
Возвращаясь к моему новому шаблону, скачанному с сайта первого типа,  — я даже не хотел убирать ссылки на авторов (http://www.skinpress.com/), так как меня восхитил их продукт, я просто хотел добавить rel=»nofollow» к ссылкам.
 
Каково же было мое удивление, когда при попытке сохранить эти небольшие изменения я вместо админки или сайта увидел следующее (картинка кликабельна):
 

Если по-русски — шаблон защищен такой-то лицензией, и изменение футера недопустимо. Либо сносите тему через FTP, либо через FTP же откатывайте все как было.

Я прекрасно понимаю авторов, просто я слегка шокирован таким приемом =) Я полагаю — выпилить эту защиту несложно, однако мне почему-то резко расхотелось это делать. Разработчики подошли к защите продукта… Необычно. Для данной отрасли.

Я пошел и откатил все изменения. Пусть себе ссылки висят. Разработчики дали мне бесплатно использовать классный шаблон, и я думаю что три внешних ссылки за такой шаблон — право же, небольшая цена. К чему я призываю и Вас, дорогие читатели.

Неожиданный поворот)  А если по сути - разве так уж важны эти две ссылки?  По логике - теоретически - код в подвале должен с чем-то сравниваться. Если найти этот код - можно изменить его. Попробуйте прогуглить по всем файлам с помощью notepad++ кусок кода из подвала. Хотя может я что-то не так понимаю.
